"Whoa, the dogs are howlin', all over the neighborhood
That is true sign of death, baby, that ain't no good"
No signs of death, just the horrible screeching of "Howling Walt" trying to learn to play his Rogue Lap Steel, a Christmas gift from his wife. Creating sounds neither dog nor human ever heard before.
But I ain't superstitious.

Keep at it Walt, the lap steel is great fun to play. What tuning are you using? I have my Airline in C6 for more of a Western Swing type approach. Open G is good for that blues based stuff.
Oh, and I ain't superstitious but a clack cat just cross my trail.

I'm going with open G.
I LOVE the Larkin Poe group, and Megan Lovell uses that tuning. She's got some creative lead playing on their youtube videos.
