I use imgbb to insert pics. The only successful way it works for me is to insert the full BBCode. It works but I've noticed doing so makes the actual photo a clickable link (sometimes with artifacts like addition links attached at the bottom) which isn't a problem but I've noticed others who post pics are fixed and don't respond to being clicked. Is this a product of which photo hosting site they use or am I missing something?

Those are the 5 options I get. Both links that actually show a pic are clickable.

I can only see the last 2 with the BBcode link
When I click on the others they don’t work. I don’t know if it’s because I’m on my IPhone

The boards here do NOT support HTML - they don't parse it. They want you to see a HTTP address in between {IMG] ![]() [/IMG] tags. (replace { with [, because it tries to parse the [IMG) If you know the direct photo link and your photo host doesn't deny direct linking, it'll work. If you don't, you're stuck using their BB code. |

Using the BB code creates issues on message boards, depending on how they're set up. The easiest way is to view the pic on your hosting site and right click on it. Select Copy Image Location, and then go to where you want to post it. Select the Image option and paste the URL. Works every time. I've stopped using IMGBB because they've been having a lot of issues lately with their servers going down. I now use IMGBOX. It works the exact same way as IMGBB, with no account necessary. One extra step they require is you mark your images as 'family friendly' or 'adult content', which is a one-click action after you select your image for upload. Way more reliable than IMGBB over the last few months. |
