Any thoughts on Luna Guitars ? My singer is looking into this model which on paper looks amazing., but wanted to know if any forum members had any first hand experience with this brand. I can only mail order so trying in store is not an option. Our band plays country rock so the visuals are spot on www.lunaguitars.com/query?upc=819998174477

I've handled a few in local shops and had one in for a setup two years ago. They are typical import acoustics...not particularly amazing, but not necessarily bad either. There are good ones and bad ones, just like from any other brand. Best advice I can give you is buy from a vendor that has a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

What Peegoo said. As a starter guitar, some of them actually sound pretty good.
Bought my daughter a Luna ukulele several years back (laminated mahogany - one of the "tattoo" models) - different beast, I know, but it sounded just as good as a solid hog-top Cordoba ukulele I bought for myself at over twice the price. Very impressed with that one.

For that kind of money, I would want a solid top guitar. There are plenty of options at that price point for ordering online with a satisfaction guarantee.
