Wondering if any of you have tried out baritone acoustics. I have not but I am increasingly curious.

It doesn't look like there's a whole lot out there. Not at Elderly, anyway, but they do have this...
(no, I have never played one)

Guild makes a 6 and an 8. So a song on E that is top high for me to sing. I can capo a Baritone at the 3rd fret and sing it on D. I don't know of anybody makes strings for an 8 string so I guess you buy a set and buy extra 1st and 2nd strings. Interested.

Go to Guitar Center in Portland. After 2 sales people told me didn't have any baritone the tech said yeah we do. Got a ladder and climbed way up high for an Alvarez Bari. It was OK, played good. Boy they are low. I think I will go back and try it again. Pretty unsure about it.

I bought a Taylor Baritone about 5 or 6 years ago and sold it within 6 months. It didn't turn out to be as cool as I thought. It was either the baritone or a 12 string. Should have bought the 12. I'd probably still have that.

It was a toss up. Baritone or 12 string. Pulled the trigger on the 12 string. Should see it next week.

No baritone here, but I've had this 12 string for quite a while now. I'm still happy with it. DSC_2216 by Larry Madsen, on Flickr

I no longer have an acoustic 12 string. My wife had one when we married but she sold it a couple years later. I love the sound of a good 12 string but they must not only sound good but play good also. Hers was good sound wise but playability slightly lacking.
