I'm back to making more cabling for my studio rack. Every time I think I'm done something gets added or subtracted and the cabling either needs more of it or it's configured wrong. That means buying more plugs and doing a bunch more soldering. So, here I am again with stuff I had to remove from the studio closet to get to the stockpile of new cabling and plugs, scattered all over the room. I only have one place to store that stuff and it always gets buried in the closet.
I am always happy to be upgrading and refining my recording setup. That means buying and selling gear. Most of the time when I do that, something with the cables or patch bay, or both, has to change. That means hours of stripping wire, soldering plugs, and relocating cable in the rack. At least this time it won't require a complete makeover but I am going to have to move some things around in the patch bays. That's always an unpleasant endeavor. It requires lots of documentation and testing to be sure things are working and where they're supposed to be. I added another bank of 48 points but won't be needing most of them at this point. I'm sure I will eventually.
