"Let's do this!"
Can we all agree that it's time we put that one on the shelf?
Any others you've heard enough?

How about "Look" before anyone on TV answers a question.
"Yea, No..." "No, Yea.."

Anything cutesy. Hungry? Get something to eat. Don't tell me you're getting a "snicky-snack".
If I ever snap and you hear about me on the news, this will be why.

"establish a cadence" "reimagine" "lean" (the biggest fallacy in manufacturing, it's the KLON of the business world.) "wound around the axle" "The election was stolen"

But we’re keeping “Right On” okay? “To Be Honest” Aren’t we always, mostly?

I call people out on the misuse of literally all the time. My sister in law:
Her: "I was literally starving to death." Me: "Thank god you made it. I've never had that close a shave with death".
I never understood why it became a thing to use "literally" for things that were absolutely not (and usually couldn't be).

I'm OK with any usage of language that I can understand. Slang, colloquialisms, neologisms, malapropisms. But I will say it does bother me when there appears to be a deliberate usage of slang to addle who they're addressing. I got the following comment on one of my songs posted out on the cloud: "This beat hit ma hard ... collab ? hit ma on (email address)." 🥴 I interpret that as an approval of the track and a request to collaborate if I'm interested. But, why the tedium? You can see on the page I'm an old dude.
The thing that really bothers are vocal affectations, like "vocal fry". If you don't know what that is, YouTube "Loudermilk Coffee Shop Scene". 🤣 I'd link it, but it's probably not appropriate for MT2. Very funny.

I heard one (playing the corporate version here) for the first time the other day. I was instantly done with it… and I told the person so.
“I’d like your thought leadership on this issue.”

The stuff I hear at work makes me want to retire. I have two days of meeting at corporate starting tomorrow. 😣 OOOF....I'll keep you in my thoughts. Best of luck. Where I work they quickly wanted to fast track me into management. I dabbled for awhile and hated it with a passion. The non-stop meetings and stupid buzzwords were definitely a factor. I was lucky in that they needed my skill set architecting a new project, so I was able to get back into the technical side. They've tried multiple times to suck me back into management and I've resisted with extreme intensity every time.

I had my chance at the brass ring about 8 years ago. I was passed by - twice.
Like you, I have a skill set and a vast amount of experience that makes me valuable where I am.
In hindsight I’m quite happy that I was passed over. It really did work out better for my personal well-being.

One of the best things about retirement is that you no long have to put up with all that corporate management-speak du jour.

the replacement of the word "said" with "like"-
'He was like, "So what's wrong with Paul McCartney?"'
'and I was like, "well, he's 81 and can't sing anymore"'
quite frankly, (<----Hah, threw in another obnoxious catch phrase!), I HATE hearing that! what the hell does 'like' have to do with verbal communication? Lose it!
