Wow, Fender really punted on that one. And with Fender "Limited Edition" usually means limited to how many they can sell. Interestingly, the body contours look pretty bad on those too.

I have a 40th Anniversary LE that I bought new from Norm's Rare Guitars. #1166 of 1954. I love it.

I bought a new 2004 50th Anniversary and love it also. Along with being well made all around, it had some features that were new, at least to me. S-1 switching, The SCN pickups and a snap in vibrato bar not threaded. Also the contoured neck plate and body where the neck is attached was new to me also.

Other than custom shop or a real one, there's really never been a faithful 54 spec Strat or reissue.
Count me as a fan.

there are some youtube videos demoing them and they sound great especialy the 54. $2500 for non custom shop oo
