So Queenie was talking at work. It turns out people do that.
She mentioned to a person at work that I tinker with guitars.
Seems this guy has a guitar player Son. His Son has a performance coming up and his Epiphone Les Paul has some annoying fret buzz.
Queenie told the guy that she thought I’d be willing to look at it a see if I could identify the problem and maybe a fix.
Queenie will bring it home from work tomorrow. All I know is what I just said. I hope it is something obvious and simple.
Short of it being some construction flaw … I’m thinking truss rod adjustment or bridge adjust or it if is an open string buzz, the nut.
What I know for sure is if I’m not comfortable and confident identifying and resolving the problem, I’ll just be stating what I think And return it just as I got it. 🫤
My moto on cars and guitars is I work on my own stuff and try hard to keep it to that.
If I screw up my own stuff I am vary familiar with who I complain to … that being the guy in the mirror.
Working on someone else’s stuff is an entire different realm.
I could be asking for some advice and guidance tomorrow night. 😐
Edited to add: After a bit of talking and the fact that the turn around time on this was 24 hours or less. The guitar did not come home with Queenie tonight.
I’ll offer to help out if he wants, but it won’t be right now. 🙂

Yes that guy in the mirror (me) has screwed up on his own stuff more than once and if he screws up on someone else's stuff he pays someone to fix it. Still, I can't resist checking out the problem in person.
