Can they be used for chords? I am a rhythm guitarist and wonder if it would be a waste of money, or something that would give me a slightly fatter tone. Thanks.

I ordered a TC Electronic Mimiq Mini for practices and gigs. I don't need the stereo one as I will not be using two amps.

I’m very interested in your opinion after the test drive.

I use full chords, triads, double-stops and note picking within the chords. It should be fun.

Cool demo on that pedal. While a short delay could probably get you most of the way there it sounds like maybe it also tweaks the pitch of the wet signal.
Now I got the guitar solo of "No Myth" by Michael Penn going through my head.

I have a Keeley 30ms Adt. Very versatile. Subtle doubling up to chorus with reverb, Abbey Road reverb only, slapback. If used in stereo, many variations available.

I will just be using the cheaper, mono one with a single overdub The stereo one is nice with two and three adjustable overdubs. I don't need that much, nor a second amp to lug around. My 59 Bassman LTD is wonderful on its own😎

Hi, Rev. Are you saying that I can jumper the channels in my 59 Bassman LTD and use the stereo plug without having to use two amps? I understand that using one amp will be localized. I am thinking of returning the mono pedal and going with the stereo one. It is still at the post office. I will try it out and see. Just looking for a plumper sound on chords. Thank you.

You can use it as "mono" pedal but it may add a depth to the sound. It may buzz like a banshee as well - there's no way to tell, but on tw-input amps you get away with oddballs if you're daring SOMETIMES. It could even sound worse, but you never know until you try!

Best way to fatten up your tone is to mic the amp and run FOH.

Best way to fatten up your tone is to mic the amp and run FOH. My personal sense is that a reasonably dry tone should be sufficient and effects should be used for... well... effect. A lot of bands, just by their style of music, don't really self mix all that well, so my own sense is sometimes outdated, so effects do sometimes become necessary. It is no fun to have an inadequate rig and try to band-aid it back into place. I don't know if chucksmi is correct or not for this instance, but probably worth considering. Sometimes the best gear upgrades are the least sexy ones. That said, those are dang cool effects. If I had one I'd noodle with it quite a bit.

I didn't like the doubler, as there was not enough to be useful as I would be playing it in mono. I returned it and got a TCelectronic Corona Chorus. Still piddling with it. Judiciously used for a VERY subtle tone enhancement, it will be what I was after. I have not messed with the Tone Print option yet. It appears that I can't listen to an artist's setting before I download it to see if I like it. I am fine with twiddling the knobs to find something useful for me.
