Evenin gents ! Fender Princeton Reverb RI . Reverb/Vibrato 2 button switch. Is it possible to just buy a standard extension cable ? My new room layout cannot have cords lying around to trip over and I'm a couple feet short to hide the cable. I am moving my music workspace into a smaller area and Mrs Picker insists that we dont kill ourselves. Thanks

As long as the cable has same plug (i .e. tip/sleeve or tip/ring/sleeve)

Thanks LTB. Didnt think there was an issue. Ive built my music room over the course of 20+ years. Moving into a much smaller space is really tough. So many wires and connectors required to make it an efficient work space.

Look at the cable - it looks to be a normal TS 1/4" on the photos. If so, replace with ANY longer guitar cable that fits your needs.
If it's TS, do the same. No need for an "extender."

i was using a guitar cord sleeve looking thing that pluged guitar cords into both sides thus extending a guitar cord but it would always cut out and i would have to wiggle it. i solved it by just buying a longer cord. guitar center has live wires around 50 feet and you can geet those ends and thin black cord that you just screw in and tighten down like eeric johnson ues (george L) cables and make the lenght you want www.pedalgear.net/page6/page13/index.html

Fender footswitch cables typically have one core screened (reverb) and trem switch core unscreened. Using a standard cable, with both cores inside the same screen, might possibly result in a click in the reverb when the trem was switched. Or the reverb picking up hum from the trem.

Now I'll never know. Existing footswitch cord long enough to work. The new music room is gonna take some getting used to. Sounds coming from different angles and altitudes. Weird for awhile but will adapt.
