I haven’t given lessons since the late ‘90s, but was approached about it so, after some thought, decided why not. My new student is a recently retired 65 yr old man. I had a brief introductory call with him yesterday to learn a bit about his experience level and what his goals are. He told me he just wants to learn some chords so he can “play around the campfire”. He’s not interested in theory. Interestingly enough, he has an electric guitar.

Was your first lesson, "YOU DESERVE A GIBSON"? The first lesson is tomorrow. The first or of business is to find my old, highly modified, wooden ruler between now and then. “NEVER BRING YOUR GUITAR HERE OUT OF TUNE AGAIN!” WHACK!

A rousing rendition of “Run to the Hills” is a campfire fave.

A rousing rendition of “Run to the Hills” is a campfire fave. Or, Great White Buffalo?
