Hey e'budy. I recently repaired (received in pieces) a no name resonator guitar with a spider bridge and a split wooden saddle.
I put in a plastic split saddle which worked quite well. and I liked the brightness.
However the owner didn't and thinks the wooden will be a little more subtle. would changing saddles make a marked difference?

If bone or Tusq is too bright, the traditional material for a resonator bridge saddle is maple. You can use pretty much any hardwood such as ebony or rosewood too.
