Unfortunately (as usual) there is a price to be paid for shedding those pounds... The only unfortunate thing that has happened to when going lighter (which I began doing in the mid '80s with my first Walter Woods amp) is no more GAS (I didn't read your article, sorry).

Interesting article. I did know that 90 percent of Neodymium material came from China. What I did not know until reading your article was the reason. I have Eminence Kappalite 3012HO speakers in two bass cabs and they do a fabulous job in both tone, sensitivity and weight. We now do some things that could not be feasibly done in the past due to Neodymium and not just in the Music world but everyday
