Same here. The Pusher has been one of the very first riffs I learned on guitar. And a life's lesson. 😏 Here's from My Sportin' Life vinyl. Nice, I had a John Kay and the Sparrow LP as a kid, it was an interesting LP.

A change of pace for me. My new copy of Offramp arrived today. I had it on cassette back in the day.
Warning. Mr Metheny is wearing very short shorts in the video. Totally suitable for work.

Milestones -- Miles Davis. Not my favorite Miles album but this track with Philly Joe Jones on drums is killer. Vinyl -- a reissue on Columbia from the 80s.

I gave the turntables the day off today. Started going through some of my tapes today. I know many here probably don't have fond memories of cassettes but I love them. Spinning today was: Zoot Sims -- Party, a very nice sounding chrome cassette. Earl Klugh -- Move. Also a very nice sounding tape. Doyle Bramhall -- Bird Nest On The Ground. Pretty typical for a commercial tape but the content more than makes up for it.

Back to vinyl -- Robin Lane and the Chartbusters. Another great Boston band from the late 70s and early 80s. We saw them several times in town and in a club they used to play down here on the beach. It's a shame they didn't go farther. Original vinyl from 1980.

Vinyl, Rounder Records. When he was new, fresh, and didn't sing about drinking.

Spinning on original vinyl, Narada/Equinox label (kinda like Windham Hill).
I love this, folks liked to bag on "new age" and such back in the day, but hell, there is a lot of great music on Windham Hill (who gave us Michael Hedges!!) and this label:

New album. Lucinda Williams covering Tom Petty. Another of those silly double albums with a blank fourth side. Springsteen did that too. Put some outtakes or bonus tracks on the fourth side.
Some good stuff to listen to. I could listen to Lu all day even if she was singing the phonebook.

The album version of this always gives me a goosebump or two.

Original vintage vinyl, hard to believe this came out in 1967, I got it as a cutout in a Jewel Food store for 25 cents. This LP changed my whole perspective of music.

Love the hell out of this LP, 1975...a VERY good year. Played it to death back then on my Empire turntable.
