I get weekly emails from Carter Vintage, and this caught my attention. Does anyone know about these? And no, I am not a potential customer. 12 Watts, $45,0000

Looks like a whole lota of whatever it is.
Wait.... just popped over to the site.. its a Ken Fisher original. And it looks to be a one off.. (or something to that effect)
Not that I'd pay $45000 for an amp... Given the choice of a Dumble or a Trainwreck, I'd pick a Trainwreck

Got to use a Wreck once...legendary.

Ken (RIP) didn't build many Trainwrecks in his lifetime, and the ones he did build, the owners jealously hang onto. The most common are the Komet and Liverpool, I think...but every amp he built has individual tweaks based on what the owner preferred or what Ken decided to toss into the recipe. They rarely come to market, and that usually occurs when the owner goes across the river.
$45K is what the market will bear because these are rare birds.

I think we tend to forget that $45K to us might be like spending $4.5K to someone with a whole lot more money.
