I have been deleting a lot of posts that are still discussing aspects of the virus that are off limits based on ProBoards’ policies and the rules I have put in place.
We can continue to discuss our experiences and what we are doing and what we are going through. Anything scientific m, medical and governmental is not allowed. Opinions on what courses of action are or are not appropriate are similarly not allowed.
I have repeatedly had to reiterate these policies and there are still people feeling the need to post on these topics. Consider these recent posts:
“This is why masks are not effective”; this is an opinion regarding the scientific/medical benefits of using a mask. This is not allowed.
“Wearing some covering is better than nothing”; this is also an opinion and is not allowed.
“I’m not wearing a mask and I don’t plan on it”; that’s what you yourself are doing, that’s fine.
Trying to moderate this issue has become very cumbersome. As I have a responsibility to ProBoards as our host of this free site, I must now start enforcing these rules more severely.
I am implementing a “three strike” system. Three posts deleted for rules violations will result in a one week suspension of your account. I am sorry to have to be stricter, but the rules are in place for a reason and they need to be followed.
