As some of you may know, I bought a cheaper Seismic Speaker cab a week ago. It turned out to be problematic. Only one Speaker mounting screw would go in and the other 3 were out of alignment where you could not get 2 to even go in and the last one at an angle so I didn't not screw them in. I returned it and contacted Leftee who is an Eminence Dealer on this forum and purchased a 1x12 Eminence Cab from him. It went out within a couple hours at the most (if memory is correct), probably because UPS came just as Eric was leaving. It got to me in North Texas from Virginia via UPS 3 days later. I put the Texas Heat Speaker in it, left the back board in place (closed cab) and wow this thing is nice sounding! I think it sounds better than the Katana's Waza Craft speaker. Smoother highs, slightly higher perceived volume, no buzzing, no muddiness, nice tones low to high on this setup. To be frank I didn't expect this speaker to sound so good right out of the box. Many other speakers i.e. Weber California, Weber F150, Electro Voice, JBL required some break-in first.
Construction is top notch, Black Tolex, Black Grill cloth (removable grill frame), Speaker mounts from the front and ALL holes line up perfectly (but what would you expect as both speaker and cab are Eminence). It has 4 large feet on the bottom, Nice black leather strap handle on top, 2 1/4" jacks on back plate so you could connect to a second remote cab. It features 2 sets of 14awg speaker wires (1 red/1 black 1 white/1 blue. They are wired together MONO via a circuit board with wide copper lands for durability. I could have just connected 1 set of wires to the speaker and let the 2nd set hang down as they will not short out(due to the nice clear heaving covering over the terminals) but I decided to hook both sets to the speaker for the heck of it. (White and Red +) (Blue and Black -).
I do not know if I will open the back as it sounds soooo good but I will wait until my wife is not around and crank it up and go from there. I am so far very happy!
