I think this is a great documentary in how it is organized and the arc it traces of the rise and eventual fall of Oasis. It came out a couple years ago, and was obviously made with the cooperation of the Gallagher bros. I don't think you need to be a fan; my wife really had no clue about them but really enjoyed the sibling dynamic that frames the whole enterprise. There are some very good segments about recording and how their various sessions went. If you've ever been in a band there so much of it that is relatable (excluding the wealth and fame part, of course). On Netflix.

Thanks! I'll check it out.
They were influenced by some stuff I was into at the same time like the Stone Roses and House of Love. So naturally when they came out I was curious and dug Supersonic as a track.
I have a few documentaries about them on dvd. There's one documenting the making of the first record, Definitely Maybe, which is pretty good. Actually it's really good. Another one of them is a collection of different reviewers giving their two pence about about Morning Glory - some of them scathing. But my favourite so far is the Lord Don't Slow Me Down one - if you turn on the commentary during the dvd it's pretty hilarious. Noel's comments about Liam dancing, calling him "the golden drifter" is pretty funny. There's also one scene where the band is going down the stairs behind the stadium, then as they go up the stairs to the stage the crowd instantly roars. The commentary on that scene is good too.
I'll definitely check out this one now. Thanks again for posting about it!

It seems neither brother has "matured". Even recent interviews show them to both still be arrogant egotistical jerks. Too bad, cuz they made a hell of a band together

Funnily enough I just watched this a couple of days ago. Great band, but not particularly likable individuals ;-)
The tale of how they played their first gig at the Whiskey a Go Go while off their heads on Crystal Meth was quite er ..... enlightening ;-)
Also, how Liam apparently had no interest in music whatsoever until somebody hit him over the head with a hammer during a fight ;-)

Will probably see this at some point. I enjoy the occasional music documentary.
