I got a text from a guy who I've bought and traded guitars with for awhile now. He's looking to sell or trade a 2001 Heritage H140. I found the webpage from the dealer he bought it from and got more particulars: Duncan pickups replacing the original Schaller pickups (who knew?), Tone pro tailpiece.
I know a little about the brand, that they are made in the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI, started by former Gibson employees. I have never played one, hardly ever seen one played by anyone else, but they seem to have a good reputation. I have 3 Les Pauls now, so other than being lighter weight, they probably fill the same niche. But I'm an inveterate buyer/trader, so I am interested. He wants $1700 cash or trade + cash on my Fender Elite Nashville Parallel Universe Tele. I'm very tempted, especially since the prices I've seen online are much higher.

I have a Heritage CM140 Custom. It is a thinner body to create less weight. It does not affect the sustain or the tone to me. The only thing I like about it was the pickups and I replaced them. It is my number one and I will not ever sell it. I would recommend it. Especially with the updated pickups.
