I felt somewhat embarrassed for Brad Rutter; he did really poorly. Seems like he didn't practice or review or prepare for this extravaganza at all. Even though I liked James the best, Ken was a true wizard throughout all the matches and certainly earned the crown.

Hmmm...spoiler alert...we haven't watched them all yet.

The fact that Ken won so decisively (Ken 3 - James 1 - Brad 0) makes him fully deserving of the GOAT title. Wonder if Alex might be considering him as successor? What Ken might lack in charisma he makes up for in overt nerdiness... and I notice he can talk really fast!

It was decisive for sure. But what was weird was how poorly Brad, the all-time Jeopardy money winner, played.
Something wasn't right. Not possible that they "just weren't his categories". Like I said, weird...
I was pulling for James, but Jennings deserves the title. Fun to watch!

I had no clue who Brad was until they announced the competitors' names. I didn't watch the original Ken Jennings series of wins because I was working on a cruise ship somewhere in the world and the "live" T.V. available was non existent. (I DID, however, get to watch the same half dozen pre-recorded episodes of some programs multiple times lol).
When James was on his win streak, I retired and able to watch most of those shows. But, this time, I just wasn't interested (although I was kept apprised of the progress by my mom and aunt , as they WERE interested).
From what I know, it seems as if the GOAT title went to the correct individual (although, not ever having seem Ken Jennings I too was rooting for the champion who I HAD seen play ... James).
No disrespect meant to our California members but I kept thinking (when James was playing last year) and during this competition, that having to cough up 37% to the I.R.S. and another 13% to the state of California would (on principal) chafe me. 50% of winnings in taxes? Thankfully, I won't ever be exposed to that as I don't live (or make any income) in California and no game shows have been clamoring to draft me as a contestant lol

I was glad Ken won. I thought it strange, though, that the other two received the same prize money of $250,000.
