One of the best channels on U-choob for this stuff is Drachinifel. He's a Brit who knows his stuff, researches extremely well, and has a great presentation style. Although Youtoob is designed for video, Drach rarely includes it; he relies on historical photos and a lecture style to present the material, and nothing is lost by his doing so. It's all very well-done.
I learned something fascinating and counterintuitive about stability and roll control when it comes to naval gunnery: the more stable a battleship is, the more difficult it becomes to maintain accurate fire. Once it is explained, it makes sense. Very cool stuff!
