It’s a 15w with a Jensen AlNico 12. Not an AlNico fan, so I swapped it for a Jensen C12K and stuck some RCA preamp tubes and JJ 6V6S tubes in the power section. It’s a little firebreather now. Bordeaux/wheat grillcloth and popped some white “Tuxedo” knobs on it.

Really like the JJ power tubes, they have a big low end and more headroom than other 6V6 tubes. I have some old Sylvanias that sound great but break up a lot sooner.
Reverb is big and splashy and the trem is fat. Happy boy!

I’ve got a 68 PRRI. It came with the Celestion Tube 10 and I swapped that out for a Jensen Falcon. Love this amp!

oooo. Shweet!
I'm a Princeton freak.
Most folks say the DR is *the* Fender amp to have...but I've had a few of those, and I've had a few PRs, and the PR is da kine for me.
If you want to make it a bit punchier, try a Weber Copper Cap rectifier in it.

I love my '65 Princeton Reverb LE with the Gold Sparkle cab and a 10" Celestion Gold speaker. It is about the perfect guitar amp if there ever was one!

Did a recording session today, ran a Les Paul w mini HBs and a Tele thru it, clean and with a Blue Sky OD pedal. Happy client, happy guitar player.

The PRRI is my main amp for weekly worship band. I've been wanting to change out the 10" Jensen speaker for a tried and true Reverend All-Tone 1025...those speakers sound great in everything.
You'se guys have got me motivated... (And I'm on vaca this week, so it'll finally happen.)

Rolling tubes today, liking an RCA gray 7025 in V1 better than some nice black plates I just scored. Weird, but the ears rule.

Much as I love Jensen's for clean, with drive they can get harsh in the high frequencies. Hearing a buddy's PRRI custom with a Celestion AlNiCo Blue convinced me it was time to put the Jensen away. The Rajin Cajun gives great sparkly clean tones without the aggressive highs. Brings a slightly bluesy mid presence too which is scooped out of the Jensens. And at 100dB sensitivity it's louder than almost any 10" on the market and most 12"s. Turns a small amp into a beautiful monster.

I own 3 Fender Princeton Reverb amps but from the late 60's to 70's. My favorite amps.

My PRRI has a few mods that I've made over the years, and each one has made it better to my ears. -JJ 6V6 tubes. These sound more like 6L6s than 6V6s. -Weber Copper Cap solid-state rectifier. Firmer, punchier, less sag. -Heyboer TO20 output transformer. Cleaner headroom in the lows and more volume overall. -Weber 10F150 speaker. More efficient than the stock Fender speaker. What I was going for with these mods is a Deluxe Reverb sound in a smaller, lighter package. Other stuff for ease of use: -Removed the steel glides and installed rubber feet. -Added steel corners to the bottom and back. -Installed tilt-back legs -Swapped in a 90-degree IEC power cable and secured it with a cable clip. Keeps the power cable attached to the amp. -Installed a fuse block to hold spare fuses (I did this to all my amps).
