Sold my 94 Vibro King and pulled the trigger on a Princeton Reverb. Got the Sweetwater Limited Edition , laquered tweed , with a 12" Cannabis Rex. Arrived today with a dead 12AX7 tube. Got that replaced and woohoo ! What a sweet little amp. Haven't had a new amp in ages. Not playing out of course so this is perfect for a small room. Clean and quiet with wonderful reverb and tremelo.

That's quite a shift, VK to PR. I had a Vibro King too, great amp. Big but got crunchy fast. Lopsided back breaker, that amp.
Enjoy the PR. I keep thinking I need one but do have an early 80's Princeton Reverb II, which is more like a Deluxe Reverb. Heck, even my VHT Special 6 head/112 cab seems TLFHU (too loud for home use).

I loved my Vibro Kings , had 2 , but I cant move it around anymore. I am content with a low power tone machine. I have terrible tinnitus so volume is a problem too. 80% of my time playing is studio or small rooms. I have a first year Hot Rod Deluxe if I need to get loud. Wonder if Sweetwater will send me another bag of candy if I tell them about the dead tube. Simple fix but it had me worried when I turned it on and got no sound.

I had a beef with them, and they sent me a Sweetwater emblazoned apothecary jar filled with Tootsie Rolls! All is forgiven.

Sweetwater called and e mailed me first thing this morning. Thay gave me a nice credit back to pay pal for the bad tubes . Turned out to be two bad ones. Sweetwater gets my vote for great customer service.

PRs are awesome little amps and Sweetwater has always been top notch for me.

Tommy Tedesco's favorite amp!
Enjoy!

While the PR sounds great even at low volumes, it really sings when wound up past 6 or 7. These may be "only" 15 watts, but they are window-rattling LOUD when cranked. Totally giggable, even with a really loud drummer.

If I were looking one just like would be on top of my list! Congrats!

Welcome to the Princeton 12 club. I got the Bordeaux/wheat and put some white tuxedo knobs on it. Peegoo has some easy Princeton tweaks in another Princeton thread, he kept the 10. A couple NOS preamp tubes and the JJ 6V6s go a long way toward extra tone & horsepower.. Keep us posted!

A little more than 2 months in and I love this amp. Everything you could hope for in a small combo. Bedroom volume and dynamics. Thats a hard combination to get right. My tinnitus cuts off some of the treble but I can still enjoy the tone. I like it as much as I liked my VibroKings !

Install some tilt-back legs on it to get the treble up off the floor. The amp will sound better in the room when tilted back.
