I posted this on the old site. Stuck Moen 30-?year old push-pull shower faucet.
Managed to fix it! I was able to pull out the old cartridge! The mini plastic tool was sufficient to loosen it. Pulled it out with my channel locks.
Inserted new cartridge free from Moen!
All is good!

The only bump was that the hot-cold was flipped, so I needed to reinsert the cartridge.

The last time I carefully looked at the old one and noticed the orientation before installing the new one. However, that was a while ago... and I'm sure that I'll forget to do it correctly the next time.

I like to take pictures with my phone as I disassemble stuff like this. Helps to put things back together correctly.
