Here's one. Works in E only on a four string bass. I'm playing it slow because my left hand is completely hooped due to Duputryns Contracture. Even at this tempo, I had to edit two tracks.....it's still sloppy. Anyway E-7 no 5, B-7 no 5, B flat 7 no 5, A 9, A flat 6. Not saying it's some earth shattering chop.....just works in one key for geographic reasons. cheers soundcloud.com/user-230727602/bass-chop-1

Rats....other uploaded stuff plays after the wee bass thing. Will try and figure that out.

This one has some pocket to it, unlike the last one, don't know how one could stick the last one in a song. A7 G7 ....Only works in A. (at least for me) soundcloud.com/you/tracks

Holy mackerel guys, is it so bad that it's not worthy of a response? Not fishing for compliments, my days a competent bass player are long gone. Just thought that someone could adopt and modify stuff I have submitted and come up with something useful. cheers

Hey roly, I like all of 'em!
I'm not a bass player but may need to fake it on some recordings I am planning. I'll steal liberally ;^)
Bass chop 1 would make a good intro, giving some interesting misdirection before the guitar comes in. Chop 4 could be a signature groove, think "Seinfeld." Chop 2 makes a good foundation.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks Roly
I am always looking for new ideas.
The second clip needs me to register with soundcloud, was able to listen to the others without doing it.
