Has anyone here heard of these? I have an acoustic, model is the '80. I am the original owner, and I can not imagine another example in such pristine, bone stock condition. I was shocked to see two on Reverb in nowhere near the condition of mine and they were both over $2,000. These guitars punch way in excess of their weight class but this caught me totally off guard. Merry Christmas to all.

St. Louis, MO here. For some time these guitars have had a limited cult following. I just never expected such a potential value. The one I have is hand built. New, I remember it cost maybe $250 -$300 with a good hard case. I would rate this close to the quality and sound of my Martin HD28V. Not quite such a cannon, but sounds and plays great. It is unusual in a good way. Reminds me of a first rate Alvarez Yari but much better.

I had a quick look on Google, and the very few I found listed for sale were £1,500 to £4,000+. I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean that they will sell for those prices

Daions (MIJ) are not common at all, and the people that own them do not let them go because they are superb.
Not many out there...sort of a unicorn guitar, like a David Russell Young or a Froggy Bottom. The body shape is very distinctive for most of their models.
If you see one for sale, don't pass up the chance to try it out.

Just checked ebay and 0 for sale in UK, although there was a very rough looking acoustic sold for £150 just before Christmas.
