The Ariens snowblower performed flawlessly as it has for 10 years. We officially, according to our local CBS affiliate weather report, got 6-1/2” of nice wet snow. It took about an hour to remove the snow from our double driveway and sidewalks and deposit it on the lawn where it can do some good. I wish I could say I performed as well as the Ariens. I required a 1-1/2 hour nap afterwards and I am betting I will be paying a price tomorrow! I have the Tylenol at the ready!

In the southwest now with no snow in sight, but if it makes you feel better I remember that too. Snowblowing is more exhausting than people think, especially if you have a lot of turns and hills. You're shoving the thing off from an inert dead stop very often, and in the wet stuff that takes some force, even if it is "self propelled". If you didn't hunch over your lower back too much, it shouldn't have been something you'll pay for tomorrow, though?

Just got done blowing snow , wet heavy snow, about 6'' . And yes even with a snowblower its work . I can't imagine doing that with a shovel. Especially by the road where the city plow builds up 2-3' bank.

We got all rain, I’m thankful for that.

"bing, badda boom," as they say in Joizy.
It rained hard all day here near Annapolis...if it had been cold enough to snow, we'd have two feet or more.

We got 6 inches last week and my mtd that is 10 years old has done well. We don’t get a ton of snow here , but we can get 6-8inches on occasion.

We got close to a foot about three weeks ago. It was clearly pushing the limits of my snowblower when I went out mid-storm after the first 8” or so. Had to do it again later in the day.
I’m now looking for a power shovel for the walkway as I really dislike shoveling.

We got 16" recently, but it was nice and powdery. Still, I was out there for 2 hours with the Ariens Compact 22 snowblower. That thing paid for itself that day.

My wife and I both miss snow, but I do not miss snow removal.

My wife and I both miss snow, but I do not miss snow removal. Exactly right. I never miss snow because I know what follows it. Once you no longer have to deal with it, you can miss it.

The most snow I have tackled with it was 14” and it was dryer than what we usually get. The depth did require multiple stabs at it to completely clear. I have been very happy with Ariens.

Ariens makes an excellent machine. Mine has a Subaru engine, believe it or not! Six HP.

I look forward to snow every year and usually don't stop getting excited at the prospect of a big snowstorm until late in the season. What I get tired of is when we go a couple weeks with 1-3" every 2-3 days. Not enough to be exiciting and it seems like you're constantly clearing it away. We had a stretch once where we got 7 sub 3" snowfalls over a 12 day stretch. I was done for the year after that.
