Honestly I think I'd push for one of the all girls schools.
This from a guy who raised 5 girls. High school and boys and fashion was a nightmare. I would have loved uniforms and only girls at school. Uniforms and co-ed is almost as bad. My Son went to a private co-ed school with uniforms.

Hell, now I feel like I need to defend sending my Son to a certain school and not my daughters.
All were given the same offer. In fact had more than one gone to the private school it would have been a total reduction in tuition. So I pushed it hard.
What is the joke, Can god build a bridge to Hawaii or let me understand women, or girls as the case may be.

Uniforms and co-ed is almost as bad. My Son went to a private co-ed school with uniforms. From what I have learned about the local students, the all-girls school students go even more boy crazy than the co-Ed ones, and it often involves cutting out of school, out of necessity, because the boys aren’t in their school. The co-Ed school is definitely in contention because they have a great theater program, where it’s actually part of the curriculum (they go in early for chorus, do dance classes instead of traditional gym, etc.). That’s a big draw as its my daughter’s main interest. All 3 schools have uniforms. My daughter has become somewhat particular about her clothes recently, but is looking forward to wearing a uniform because she won’t have to spend any time picking out what to wear. I would’ve hated it as a high school student.

Got all of the acceptance packages in the mail. One invite she’d to join their Advanced Honors program. Another factor to consider. Sounds, like she is very smart Mike. All the best to her! 😊

Got all of the acceptance packages in the mail. One invite she’d to join their Advanced Honors program. Another factor to consider. Sounds, like she is very smart Mike. All the best to her! 😊 She is very smart. Too smart for her own good, reminds me of a 13 year old I once knew. Brings to mind a funny story. In 6th grade, I did tremendously well academically in all subjects, but I was also a class clown type. One day I got home from school to learn that my English teacher, who was verbally abusive with me as his target most of the time, had summoned my mother for a meeting. She and I both assumed it was because of my behavior, and I got yelled at for that. The next day, we had the meeting and he accused my mother of having written my essay for me because it was too good for a 6th grader. At that point I knew I had him. My mother was a teacher and would NEVER do anything like that, I don’t think she even checked my homework at that point unless I said something was an issue. So she started screaming at him and he was sitting there white as a ghost as she let him have it. As soon as I had an opportunity, I interjected to also point out some of the various insults he had sent my way through the course of the year, and at that point he started stuttering and apologizing as my mother threatened a meeting with the principal, asked him not to call her anymore if it was going to be a waste of time, etc. I walked out, an 11 year old smartass, knowing I just got the best of a grown adult. He didn’t speak to me, at all, for the rest of the year.

To wrap this one up:
My daughter selected the co-Ed school because they have a great performing arts program for her to apply to, and they also put her into their highest academic honors program.
She subsequently applied to the performing arts program, and we were informed today that she was accepted into that as well.
Registration day is next week. So we’re all set, assuming classes are in person in the Fall. Otherwise she’ll be wearing a school uniform in my kitchen.

That's the second happy ending thread for you today. What does a Giraffe happy dance look like?

That's the second happy ending thread for you today. What does a Giraffe happy dance look like? Exactly like you are thinking it does. I realized after my appointment I kind of just left both of these things up in the air. Now they’re tied up in a neat little bow.
