By now I think we all know about the movie, "Yesterday", where a young, struggling musician is the only one on the planet who remembers the Beatles and all their works. What if instead, he woke up as the only one on Earth who remembers "Mustang Sally"? Would bar bands see him as a genius or would his contribution be a curse?

Mostly play Fender guitars and amps. I'm 71 and have had a guitar since 1964. Got serious in 1975.

I think we would have seen (heard) lots more from Buddy Holly if he had lived. Lots more Motown too. I will always feel that the Beatles temporarily slowed down Motown back in 1964. I woke up to some great music, being born in 1949.

I know of nothing else so reliable for filling up the dance floor. If the party is lagging, play Mustang Sally!

I love the Beatles but I always think about the fact that they were great enough to be the most iconic band on Earth and, apologies asked, stupid enough to make nothing of it.
Now they’ve been history and lore for the last 5 decades and the Stones are still touring.
