I got a msg from a friend who heard I was looking for a used Strat. He had a 1994 Am Strat but it was pretty beat up, so I passed. Then he sent pics of a G&L Legacy USA HSS. Beautiful guitar, hardly a mark, so I wound up seeing/hearing/buying it. It was pretty well set up but I did tweak intonation. But I have to say, after giving a good test drive that it is an excellent guitar. Two SC's and a bridge Duncan HB. The middle and bridge pickups are so full sounding that you might think you have the bridge PU engaged. Nice quack too. The Duncan 59 (I think) sound really great too. Five way switching, of course, but the interesting thing on this model is the tone control setup. They call it PTB - passive treble & bass. The middle tone control is for rolling off treble as expected, but the lower tone knob rolls of bass. Not a major benefit on clean settings, but dial up some dirt on the amp/pedal, rolling down the bass makes for a much more articulate sound on the 3-4-5 strings. The C neck profile is very much like my other Strat, so it feels very comfortable in my hands. The two point tremolo has a push in bar, which I like so much more than the threaded type. Still in the honeymoon phase but I am loving this guitar. So, onto the pics.

It's just a guitar, it's not rocket science.

That's one of my favorite burst colors. FWIW I regret selling my G&L Blues Boy.

Some of my fav playing/sounding strats are non Fender.....one of my favs is a totally amazing low buck Hohner surf green one.
Looks beautiful, amazing sound and playability.
I love the finish on yours, just enough grain shows through.
