Recently I switched drinking a Coke Zero per day to a Lipton Green Tea Citrus. I have to say that I do not miss the Coke Zero at all. I am not a fan or hot tea, but this Lipton stuff rocks.

I enjoy green tea.
Got into it back in high school. I drink coffee more now but still enjoy a cup of tea a few times weekly.
Heat water til the bubbles on the bottom of the pot are the size of crab eyes (about 175 degrees F), steep loose tea for about 60 seconds first infusion and enjoy. Good for about 2 more infusions.
I usually drink Japanese sencha or Chinese gunpowder.
I don't think I've ever had the normal Lipton Green tea citrus (the one with sugar in it) but have had the diet Lipton Green tea citrus and wasn't a fan due to the sweetener. Sugar/sweetener tends to overpower the delicate taste of green tea even more than it does coffee imo. For gas-station/store bought tea I prefer the Pureleaf unsweetened but it's a black tea.

For hot, it's jasmine/chrysanthemum tea for me. When I make iced tea, it's usually 50/50 jasmine and black tea.
I do not enjoy the canned/bottled stuff sold as tea; it's like battery acid. No bwayno!

Stopped drinking coffee years ago, no reason, I just started drinking tea, I don’t have any type or brand I’m partial to.
I don’t use sugar, except when I make pie, cookies, caramel corn and syrup. It’s usually a seasonal thing, not stuff I make often.
I haven’t had a carbonated drink in years, mostly I drink water. My well is fairly deep and tapped into pure spring water, the Ichetucknee Springs. It does make a good cup of tea, or coffee.

Ichetucknee Springs is maybe my favorite place on the planet. Been going several times a year since 1970. Back then you had to hitchhike back from the end bridge. Floridas secret spot, don't tell nobody !

Green tee - no thanks
Black coffee - yes please
I’m still very glad that it hits the spots for some folks.

Strongly prefer black tea. But to each his own. Cheers.

The Mrs is a coffee snob so I have something Central American in the morning and an Oolong or Black tea in the late afternoon. I've started drinking green tea in the forenoon and after lunch. Mostly Zhejiang gunpowder/pearl tea or a Fuijan (sleeping dragon rolled). A few weeks ago I got delicious dark green tea from the Wensham area of Yunnan (near the Vietnam border). This type can be brewed from a rolling boil for 4 min without getting snarky. I also have a low oxidation / lightly roasted Oolong from the Anxi area of Fuijan that is very close to a green tea. I'm turning into tea snob, but I drink a lot of tea especially during the winter. The good stuff is really inexpensive when you get it 8 or 16 oz at a time from an online tea dealer.

I like the Arizona brand diet green tea. I don't think the green tea snobs like it too much, but I do. You have to get it in the gallon jug. I tried it in cans, but it was too watered down. It was as if they canned it with ice, and the ice melted, watering it down.

Opie, I remember, that was before it was taken over by the state. I’ll do two or three days on the Ocklawaha occasionally. It’s owned on both sides for a good part of it, you can camp just about anywhere. Lots of real critters including Florida Panther, bears and troops of monkeys. I have a friend who owns property very close to the Ichetucknee, we take the canoes out much further down than the State’s take out, just before it runs into the Santa Fe. flic.kr/p/2eehKLJ

Don't get me wrong I still like my coffee. Hot and black. The tea is just taking the place of soda.

I like Starbucks black ice tea with lots of ice. Wifey gets the green but I like the black, the green is to "herbal" for me.

Bancha stem tea is a nice form of hot green tea. It has little to no caffeine and is a nice finish after a meal. Also seems to calm the tummy a bit.

I brew a fresh pitcher of plain old black Red Rose tea every other day. I don't add any sugar.
My southern relatives talk about me behind my back.
I don't imbibe in any canned soft drink.
