I like my oatmeal with milk. Two percent. I have it for breakfast every morning. Making it with water reminds me of how gross-looking oatmeal can be. It's not pretty food. But with milk, I have learned to really like it. It keeps my LDL cholesterol down.

I use two percent milk, but I can’t eat it plain. Mostly I have blue berries in it but cut up strawberries will do also.
i meant cook with water, eat with milk.

Make (cook Quick Oats) in the microwave with water, eat it with 2% milk added and stevia.

Instead of either water or milk, try apple cider. I also like to throw some blueberries in about 2/3 of the way through the microwave cycle. They cook just enough.

Oh yeah, in addition to the milk, I put sweetener and cinnamon. I used the Quaker Old Fashioned Oats, put the ingredients in my bowl, stick it in the microwave for two minutes, and then one more minute, but watching and stopping it when it begins to boil over. I usually have to stop it three times.
I don't like the instant oats. And I tried steel-cut oats, but it had the consistency of 440-yard track cinders.

Water to cook. Milk to thicken along with honey, a banana, & cinnamon.

Thick rolled oats, cooked on stovetop, add whole milk, and turbinado sugar. Brb.

Half "steel-cut" oats, half "regular" oatmeal (both non-instant) in water with a dash of cinnamon.
I cook it and then turn off the heat and cover it till any water that hasn't already cooked off is absorbed.
Add 1/2 a teaspoon of brown sugar and a little non-fat 1/2 & 1/2 and consume.

Water, with butter on top. Don't eat oatmeal too often though.

As a kid my grandmother made serious oatmeal! Original Quaker Five Minute Oats, cooked in water and topped with salt, butter, sugar, a dollop of heavy cream, and crumbled bacon. These days, I never even think about making it.

Steel cut on stove top with water; two tablespoons of “real” peanut butter for protein, and a teaspoon of maple syrup.

A girl I dated swore oatmeal lowers blood pressure, so I tried it. I used water and microwaved it. Added brown sugar a couple of times, then strawberry yogurt as a mix. I like it better now than I did as a kid, but BP didn't change during the experiment....

Water, then honey and cool whip or whipped cream, and butter. If I could have ice cream I would use that.

I only use quick oats with 1% Milk only. I add a little cinnamon and a spoon of brown sugar. I've been eating it this way for years several times a week. Regular oatmeal cooked in a pot takes way too long for what it is. I just pop mine in the microwave for two minutes and done.

Most people eat oatmeal to reduce chloresterol.
