Our 54 Ford F100 project has been going on for a long, long time.
Since I sold the Mach1 along with another project (76 F100 short bed 4X4) about two years ago the herd has thinned considerably.
I no longer have the van for my (22 year long and now 3 year gone) business venture, so my time and attention is freed up considerably as well.
Over the past few months the plan on the truck has shifted as well. I had some rather modified ideas on how to do the truck back during it's initial planning stages 20 years ago.
Queenie has taken a special interest in the truck now and wants it to be very close to stock in appearance. This means many of the parts I had removed and sold years ago, I am now searching out to purchase replacements for.
The good part is on this project I have Queenie's total support when it comes to spending the necessary money to move forward with the project.
This piece was a biggie. I found it in ebay last week and it was in Cali, so shipping was fast. I really wondered about condition, though it looked good in the PICs. I had purchased a valance which goes below the grill out front a while back and was extremely disappointed in it when it arrived. I got a lot of practice with body work on that one and it's still not completely done.
This piece is exceptionally good. As much as I was disappointed before I am thrilled with this one. It's a one year only part and very unique to 1954.

I found a pair of original head light buckets including the trim today, so we picked those up as well.
