I may have mentioned previously that I’m out and about again doing stuff in Scotland that hopefully helps with getting life back to normal eventually.
Before the beginning of February I don’t think I’d worn a suit for 6 months. I was only seen from the stomach up on Zoom or Teams.
I have been approaching going into work like a kid rummaging through the dressing up box. Three suits this week and odd jackets the other two days. Today I sported a double breasted blue blazer.
Am I an outlier or are a lot of Moe’s denizens secretly going about in a dapper fashion?
Edited to add that I resembled my avatar today.

I wear one to work every day. It's a designated "uniform" all officers wear, but it is for all intents and purposes a "suit".

Funeral a year ago last December. Before that, at least two years ago for a meeting at work.

Funeral around March last year was also the last time I wore a suit. Before that maybe once a month for work.

March 12, 2020, my last day in court before they closed down.
I did wear a sport jacket and dress shirt to dinner in October while on a trip to our timeshare. But that’s not a suit, and no tie.

i never wore a "suit" in the strict sense of "suit" in that all the parts are the same. if i had to dress up, it was usually a jacket and suitable slacks/tie/shirt. the last time i guess was a Christmas program we played in 2019. we haven't played together since.

I own one suit, for funerals and weddings. I seem to have moved out of the wedding stage and the last few wearings have been funerals. So I do not enjoy putting on a suit. I did back in the day, but that day has passed.

Ditto on what rok said. Last worn 2015 at my mother in law's funeral. I did dress up nice for my niece's wedding last summer, but not quite a suit. I had a long stretch as a field tech that required wearing suits, which was absurd walking into a Ford plant wearing one and lugging a tool kit.

One of the groups I'm playing with had some filming done at one of the practices sessions so I wore my suit just for fun, first time for a couple of years

Let me also add, I loathe the idea of going back. My daily workwear has been a polo and shorts for the warm weather, upscale sweats and a pullover for the cold. I know one day I will have to wear clothes again and the idea annoys me no end.
Just before the pandemic, we did hire a new associate with the idea that she would be making all of the run of the mill court appearances (thats about 85-90 percent of them), with me staying back in the office to work on complex paperwork and going to court when necessary.
I definitely plan to keep that idea when things go back and if I can, I will keep my daily garb more casual than a suit.

I may be the outlier here. I suspected as much.
I just enjoy dressing up, wearing a tie, dealing with French cuffs and cuff links.
It’s been a while but because I’m now doing ‘essential’ work I can strut about in public.
In my suits and blazers.
SLOBS!

I wore a suit it a funeral at some point in 2020. But that was the first time in years. I did go to several funerals in 2020, but at the others I wore a sport coat, dress pants, white shirt, and a tie.
But before last year, I really can't remember the last time I wore a suit.

Tuesday in court. The judge didn’t bother. He skipped the robe and wore a polo shirt.

3 1/2 Years ago at my daughter's wedding. Personally, I don't like wearing suits. But, I've had to wear a uniform every night at work for the past 32 years (2 years at one job, and 30 at my present job).

I look forward to getting rid of all of mine someday.
All of them. I don’t buy especially expensive ones (around $500 retail, but I NEVER pay anything close to retail, last one was $120). I feel like they get a lot of abuse and I’d rather ditch them periodically and buy new rather than spending a lot on them and being financially injured when that happens lol.
So, I will ditch them all when I retire and I’ll buy a nice suit for the next occasion after that, and that’ll be my suit going forward.

I've got 4-5 of them hanging in my closet from the olden days, but they are looking pretty dated.
Both of our kids are getting married this year, so I bought a new one. Then the lockdown, wedding #1 postponed, and then I lost 18 lbs. So I've never worn the new suit and it probably doesn't fit anymore. Guess I should try it on.
I bought an Austin Reed for my own wedding back in '87. Man, that was a nice suit.

I wore a suit, shirt and tie every work day for about 33 years up until lockdown. When I retired in December I did think about taking them out in the garden and burning them all, but they're still in the wardrobe. I *will* be getting rid of most of them when I get around to it. Only probably need one for weddings and funerals now, and I don't go to many weddings these days. ;-)

The only way I'd want to wear a suit again would be if leisure suits came back in style.

A wedding and two funerals in the year or two before the Corvid.
I had occasion to check recently and it seems someone has managed to break in and steal all my dress clothes and replaced them with a smaller size. What kind of maniac would do that?
