I'm sure glad she's okay now, budg. Major mojo to you and the misses.

Thanks guys. As a quick update . She woke up this am with shortness of breath ,so they ran some tests. Cat scan , X-ray and all other tests came back negative for blood clot. They gave her breathing treatments a steroid and diuretic as they determined she had a fluid build up causing the problems. I left the hospital a little while ago and was breathing better and starting to feel better. Nonetheless they want her to stay overnight which is wise.

Jeebus! and looks like things will be all right.
BTW, did you give her an aspirin to chew on while waiting for the EMTs? Also, are you both considering diet/lifestyle/activity changes to be made? And be sure to watch your stress levels. I know mine would be through the roof.

Honestly heart attack was the furthest thing from my mind . She has asthma and thought this was a possibility. She comes home today, so there will be some lifestyle changes.

Glad she's OK!
I had a similar incident 10 years ago and had one stent installed. Felt tightness in chest, slight nausea, arm a little numb. Called 911, ate a few baby aspirins. Ambulance had telemetry to hospital, they wheeled me right into the cath lab. While waiting for the stent installer expert, my heart stopped. Didn't feel dizzy or anything. They shocked me back.
As others have said, if you feel something weird, call 911. My neighbor was cutting the grass and felt strange. He laid down on the couch for a nap and never got up.
Probably not a bad idea to get a nuke stress test as a prophylactic if you're getting up in age, say 50.

That happened to a then young lady in the mid 1990's. Mowing her daughter's yard, laid down for a nap and never woke up. I think she was in her early to mid 40's too. Both times I had issues I was mowing the yard, felt winded, left arm hurt and felt like someone was pressing a screwdriver between my shoulder blades. First time 3 stents in 2000, 2nd time 2010 mowing grass in July, same issues ended up with triple bypass. Both were just shy of actual heart attack. 1st time was the worst though. I hurt badly I had a similar incident 10 years ago and had one stent installed. Felt tightness in chest, slight nausea, arm a little numb. Called 911, ate a few baby aspirins. Wow, that was a close one! Glad you came out of it ok.

Hope each day gets better for your lady. I went through all that in 2005. The last few days of March of that year I was not feeling 100% and got worse by the day...called my cardiologist...she put me on a treadmill for a few minutes, shut down the test and called EMT. April 1st she put in a stint and I've been going strong ever since. Hope your bride has a positive outcome S well.

I’m not sure if you should hire a landscaper to avoid heart attacks, or keep mowing the lawn so you can keep revealing problems and getting treatment.

Glad that your wife is doing well! Two friends (and ex band mates) recently had bypass surgeries. Both are doing well. Scary stuff!
