Wifey bought some of this goop.
My paws were a bit dry, so I said, "what the heck", and rubbed a little on.
Hands got a bit sleepy and kept opening the refrigerator door, but other than that?
Nothin'.
Just thought I'd spare somebody else from the disappointment...

I was enthusiastic about all the hemp products: pain, sleep aids, when the sanctioned stores opened. None of them met my expectations. I'm gonna stick with Corn Husker's for my dry, raspy hands.

I was at my X wife's the other day and grabbed a gummy fish out of the bowl in the kitchen. Never again, I thought I had the Covid again. That xxxx ain't for me. Legal in OH apparently.

I think the gummy at my X's was the full strength crap. I thought it was a bowl full of kids candy.

I tend to believe the hemp stuff appeals to that particular...'culture' strictly due to the source of the product whether it actually works or not. There's hemp speakers, hemp milk, hemp clothing, hemp butter, etc. It's a part of the culture. Chances are good there are also a few Grateful Dead tee shirts in the house. Just like the "Q: how do you know when there's a fighter pilot in the room? A: He'll tell ya," joke, people that are into hemp will tell you all about it. Whatevz.

Hmmmm....Don't know much about that marketing Vudu stuff. What I do know is that the non "get you high" stuff has helped some of my friends. In particular, one friend who no longer has seizures, he now has a drivers license. As Jon Bessent would say....."if it sounds good, it is good" Seems that remark translates rather well to "it works for me". cheers

Good to know. I tend to be skeptical when the flavor of the month miracle ingredient is making its rounds, but I'd have been inclined to try the hemp since I can't stand the smell of coconut which seems to be in everything else.
If anyone is in the northeast, you might stumble on Gramp Lyford's Country Salve, which is the best stuff I've used to date. A little goes a long way.
Also, on this thread I'm getting a banner ad for some pretty trippy looking Hawaiian shirts.

You only think they look trippy on account of the lotion...

HAR!
Two products that really work as advertised for dry hands are Fisherman's and Bag Balm.
Give one of these a try if you suffer from dry, chapped hands or cracking cuticles. A little goes a long way, and they really do provide relief.
The hand lotions you buy at the local grocery stores and pharmacies are mostly water.

Not that it matters, one way or another, but I was never a big user of "the herb" and haven't partaken at all since the mid-late 1970s. I found the stuff to mostly be an expensive, sleep-inducing ambition killer.
Beer and coffee is about as wild as my "substance" intake has been since then. I don't really have any interest in the current trend to infuse everything and the kitchen sink with cannabis.

My hands have been getting really dry, what with all the hand-washing we're doing lately.

I started smoking pot when I was 15 and did it pretty heavily for decades. I cannot remember one time where it had any kind of pain relief advantage. Maybe the operative word there is "remember." I went to many concerts and saw many bands where I don't "remember" much about the show. I just remember being there. Once we went to this show and......wait, what was I talking about?

It really is a dopey concept. Haha! Brilliant. Edit to add: I blend some green hemp lotion that my wife has with Cetaphil for kind of a "custom blend" hand lotion. My hands are a wreck from working outside every summer as a young man. The skin is paper thin and I start bleeding if somebody looks at me wrong. The lotion makes them look better, anyway.

I tried CBD oil for my sciatic nerve pain due to a pinched nerve. I was taking the max ibuprofen daily with no relief. For 68 bucks for a month supply the only thing that got relief was my wallet. Mostly snake oil to me . CBD didn’t work , surgery did.
