I remember my first. So I'm lying on the table, and the doc asks if I'd like to be sedated. I says "hell yes, I wanna be unconscious! "
So he says "give him two".
Hell yeah, no worries. Better not to look at the probe.

I've had 4. No big deal.
They will give you a list of things you can consume up to 12 hours prior - Jello (not red), soup broth, Ensure. But don't bother. It'll make you empty stomach feel a little better for a short time but what goes in must come out.
On your way home from the procedure, have your driver drop by your favorite take out restaurant. Feast heartily and then sleep for the rest of the day.
You'll be fine the next morning.
