I was aware of an exercise equipment company called Peloton. I knew they made high priced stuff. But they're currently worth $40 billion? That I didn't know.
What makes their treadmill so special that they can charge $4,295 for the cheapest model of Tread+?
Well, there's this 32 inch screen on it. With it, you can commiserate with other "walkers" struggling to pay off their Peloton debt. You can also talk directly to Peloton treadmill instructors. That one got me wondering: what kind of qualifications do you need to be a treadmill instructor?
I'm guessing you have to be able to put one foot in front of the other.
Walk fast or walk slow.
Walk while chewing gum.
Walk while telling others how to walk fast or slow. And how to chew gum. That's all I could come up with.
Peloton advises owners of their Tread+ to put them in the same category as cross bows and Draino when it comes to having kids in the house, as the machine tends to feed on unwary children.
