Added another Eastman to the collection: a T58/v, which is a sweet take on Gretsch designs. I ordered it several weeks ago and it just arrived. First impressions? This was definitely worth the wait. Eastman's build quality is truly exceptional (I own three now), especially at the price points. The guitar is much louder than I expected. I always hated the term "semi-acoustic" for hollowbody guitar because you still have to plug them in to get anywhere. Not this time... you could almost get away with using this guitar as an acoustic, which is a nice touch when you're just poking around. Plugged in, it absolutely roars. This is my first experience with TV Jones pickups and I'm impressed. Very rich and punchy clean tones, sort of like a horn section, which makes me very happy. Lots of depth in the higher gain tones, too. The neck pup is warm with being flubby, the bridge is bright, but not thin or ice-picky and the middle position has a lovely scoop in the mids. Again, these are just initial impressions, but I'm pretty excited about this guitar. imgur.com/a/o1BCzyC

That's a looker! I've always loved TV Jones filtertrons. I read once that they are the only pickup that doesn't need a vol or tone control. I don't know about that but I have one guitar with them and it's a keeper.
They sound wickedly delightful through a cranked tweed amp.

Very cool - love the "aged" look - looks like that is well done, too.
