The first thing I will mention is that, and I'd bet on this, this guitar is made by Gibson. It arrived in a single box with "Gibson" printed on it in a few places. Gibson, USA is the return address in Nashville. Secondly, The only Gibson 330 available is this one and other than the headstock signature and trapazoid rather than blocks in the fretboard, the guitars are the same. www.gibson.com/Guitar/USA3I4189/Slim-Harpo-Lovell-ES-330/Vintage-Sunset-BurstIt's a strikingly beautiful guitar. I got the tan version. I'll add more to this in a bit.

Ooooo that's a peach!
Gibson is making some of the finest guitars they've made in a long time, despite their occasional PR trip-ups.

Congratulations! I also have the sunburst version in a Japanese made Elite (pre-lawsuit name change. The “one-up” the USA model has in my opinion is the nitrocellulose lacquer. That always adds to cost due to labor.

I used to have a Royal Tan Riviera (made in Kalamazoo). I think it was a 1965, maybe. Great guitar, which I regret having sold.
I've jonesed pretty hard for either a 330 or a Casino a couple times over the past couple of years, but basses are my priority now, so that held me back from dropping that much coin on one.
Enjoy yours for both of us, won't you!

Congratulations! I also have the sunburst version in a Japanese made Elite (pre-lawsuit name change. The “one-up” the USA model has in my opinion is the nitrocellulose lacquer. That always adds to cost due to labor. Thanks and thanks Taildragger too! The Elite/Elitists have a slim taper D neck and this one has a rounded C. Also, the E/E line is made of 5 ply maple and this one is 3 ply maple/poplar/maple. Im not saying one is better, Ive had Casinos from the E/E line and they were excellent guitars. Im really on the fence about keeping this guitar. It doesnt have those little indicator washers that are under the vol/tone controls to show you what number on the dial youre at. My biggest concern is that I can see wires through the lower F hole. Neither of these things is a major deal but Im thinking for $2700, there should be no concerns. Im still thinking! It plays so well!!

I can’t say without going downstairs and looking into the f-holes and knobs whether my Elite has those issues or not. I don’t think so but I wouldn’t swear to it either. Those things wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me but the $2700 price tag is! I really like the slimmer 60’s style neck. Reminds me of my youth.

Wires through the F hole are pretty much standard on any hollowbody I've ever played - from USAs to imports.

Thanks Rev, appreciate the input. To tell ya the truth I can't remember what the 2 E/Es were showing but I know that on my 2 Gretsches and Guild Starfire, none could be seen. I'm thinking for the price it should be neat.

There’s probably extra wire involved because these guitars have to be wired through the F-hole. You can try to *carefully* poke them back a bit if it bothers your.
I just looked at my Dot and my Gretches and I can see wire if I look hard enough. None are blatantly showing though.

I couldn't see any wires in my 2002 Elite. You can barely see the lower two pots if you look in sideways into the lower f-hole. I have a Gretsch, Guild and Ibanez hollowbodies I can check next trip to the basement as they are all out on hangars. Those are all Chinese or Korean.

I checked the aforementioned Guild, Gretsch and Ibanez hollowbody guitars and wires in the Ibanez were easy to see although not sloppy. You have to search more closely to see wires in the Guild or Gretsch. Pretty sure it will take a mirror to see wires in the Casino Elite. To be fair, the f-holes are quite a bit bigger in the Guild, Gretsch and Ibanez.

I have an Elitist Sheraton and you can't see the wires unless you're just a few inches away. I really like the guitar but I'm slowly starting to lean towards a return.

Very nice guitar! Sounds like a good quality guitar. I wouldn’t mind having a nice P90 Hollowbody
