I'm looking for a parlor guitar for fingerstyle blues. I used to have a Godin a bit ago and sold it in a fit of GAS for something else. I'd like to replace it and now my budget is a little higher. Looking to stay around $1500 price point. It would be nice if it had a pickup, but not a hard requirement. I'd also prefer USA made (or maybe Japan). Please let me know what you'd recommend!

This Yamaha CSF1M is way below your price point, has a solid top, laminated back and sides, which doesn’t bother me for a kick around guitar. I was ambushed by one at a Guitar Center a while back and it came home with me. It has a transducer installed with a lower bout strap button out. Normally I set up all my instruments, this one was nicely set up. It’s my kick around guitar for camping, and lounging, and other situations I may not wish to expose my Martins to, has a much nicer tone than you’d expect, excellent balance string to string. Yamaha CSF1M
I’m looking at the Cordoba C9 Nylon String Parlor. I’ve been playing the Kremona classical more and more, as my hands can handle longer sessions than most longer scale steel string guitars. I haven’t found one near me to try out yet.

Martin's Dread Jr. is smaller, but has a big sound. Martin also has some 10 Series and 12 Series models that are called 00 Jr., 000 Jr. , etc. - slightly smaller than a "real" 00/000, for example.
The Taylor Mini is still a very popular option (you can get it with Spruce top, hog top, or all koa at different price points).

Don’t let the lack of a pickup stop you. Installing a few transducers with a lower bout strap button output is really simple. If you wire the whole thing yourself it’s still simple and really cheap, the most expensive component is the strap button phone plug output. The whole rig, $50 prewired from JJB-electronics. Or wire up the transducers your self for a couple of bucks in parts.

Good looking guitar. Similar look to the cheaper yamaha I picked up last year. More of a kick around camping guitar though, it does have a solid top. It has better tone and sonic balance than many of it’s price peers
The Cordoba I’m looking at is all solid wood I just can’t spend the money sight unseen, for close to a grand I want some pick and choose.

The Guild jumbo jr's look pretty sweet and are downright inexpensive.
