Been stymied in trying to purchase a camera -- FujiFilm X100v. No inventory anywhere -- from any reputable camera dealer. Almost snagged a "used" camera from B&H in NYC two weeks ago, but it was snapped up from my shopping cart by another purchaser who was quicker to conclude the sale.
Anyway, late last week, saw another "used" camera on the B&H site and this time, got it.
Pricing is pretty good -- B&H has a formula for how it prices used gear -- in this case, I believe it is either a customer return or an in-store demo camera which is not much use when they have no inventory of new goods.
Their formula priced it well below used pricing for a hot item when it shows up on Amazon, or from any other reputable used camera dealer.
I feel like I got lucky here -- all it took was patience and persistence.
Camera should arrive Monday... NCaD.

Glad you finally got what you were after! It’s always a good feeling when that happens.
Not long ago I got something on eBay that I was after for over a year, was definitely a good feeling to finally find what I had been looking for.

B&H is great! I bought a close-out Nikon D40 with 2 Nikkor zoom lenses for $300. It was the best price I found for them at the time.

With B&H, too, if you used their "Payboo" credit card, they eat/rebate the sales tax. I saved a further ~~~ $60 on that alone.

So, what do you think of your FujiFilm X100v?
But what I’d really like to know, is what “happened” to your Sony? What model was that?

So, what do you think of your FujiFilm X100v? But what I’d really like to know, is what “happened” to your Sony? What model was that? I posted this review over at dpreview.com. It pretty much summarizes it all. As for Sony, over the last two years, I decided I prefer images from both Fujifilm and Olympus gear to Sony. I still have a Sony RX100v in the closet -- but it does not get much use. At one time I had a Sony a6000, but never bonded with it and it is long gone. Now -- as to the X100v: Happy with my purchase, but ....... I am an X100T owner who was quite satisfied with my camera. .. but decided to upgrade to the X100v for all the performance and features in the reviews and videos. After working with the X100v for the last two weeks, I am satisfied with my purchase, but see the V as incrementally better than the T, not exponentially better. (I have kept my T and expect both cameras will be used regularly). I hasten to add I am not a pixel peeper, do not use the camera (or my X100T) for video, and have not printed any photos from the new V. That will come. FujiFilm got everything right with these X100 cameras -- small, fun to use, fully adjustable, beautiful images, and responsive to the photographer. Using my X100, up to now the X100T, but now also the X100v, I believe, have helped me become a better photographer. As a hobbiest, that constitutes a ringing endorsement.

Thanks. I’ve been looking around, thinking of picking something up.

Thanks. I’ve been looking around, thinking of picking something up. I truly believe, unless you are a "pixel peeper," that you'd be very pleased with a good clean X100T, which could be found for half the cost of the new X100v. They are great cameras, fun to shoot. I ran into a couple Leica shooters one sunny afternoon in Bristol, UK, back in 2019, and got a lot of interest and respect from them over my X100T!
