are really great! the bars in my old Weber were shot and someone here recommended Utheer stainless steel they're more heavy duty than the originals and look like they may outlast the grill I almost clicked 'buy' on ebay for them @ $60 but found an open box set on Amazon for $30 shipped while installing I clean out the crud in the grill which I hadn't done since I bought it [used] about 4 yrs ago....yuk now all I need is a new starter and it'll be good to go. thanks to whoever recommended Ulteer

I had to replace the burner tubes a few years ago. SS as well. I had the shop make me some extra HD SS flavorizer bars. They will absolutely outlast the grill.

I guess stainless is the way to go. Will report back after I break them in and a few grilling sessions

One negative is the thicker SS material takes longer to heat up but you'll adjust to that quickly.

Wipe 'em with canola oil and heat 'em up before first use.
