Hmm, a new forum. I'm a stranger in these parts and don't often recommend this type of stuff but, I saw this app while watching 'That Pedal Show' the other day and decided to get it. It's called, 'iReal Pro'. Available for the iPhone. Not sure about Android though (?). Anyway, it has a base of 50 different songs you've never heard of 'cause they be practice songs you can practice to. It offers these in different genres with chord progressions shown for each available in different keys Chords charted if desired. Also has piano and Uke charts and sheet music charts which can be added to the song visuals. You can add song playlist from forums that can be launched from the app. There seems to be quite a few of these. Most of the music is accompanied by piano, stand up bass and drums. There are modifications that can be done to the instruments and other features within the program. I started using it today for the first time and listened to the songs they have and was a little intimidated by them as I'm not used to playing or, in this case, practicing along with their odd progressions. However, as soon as I started playing my guitar to them I found it was easy and interesting to join in on the groove and just following the key progressions. I found that I have a knack for jazz lead with their selections they had. Never knew I had the chops for that stuff but it almost seemed like I'd been doing it all my life. It was an interesting discovery. Anyway, @ 15 bucks it was worth the money. Check it out.
