anybody else experiencing 'the blue screen of death' system crash in Windows 10?

maybe a week ago, I would get a critical system crash notice, and the computer would shutdown, then restart. It was a real pain in the arse, since I'd been pretty happy with my Win10 installation since I installed it years ago. The event viewer had indecipherable messages and error codes, including system process not being able find a file.
It would happen at random points, sometimes after an hour, sometime several. There is no predictability as to trigger, even happened if I was not on the PC. There are some references to it on the web, since March or so, probably wrapped up in an update download. I did find a relatively new update
on the MS site, and (fingers crossed) haven't gone down for 18 hours.
ANYONE ELSE HAVING A PROBLEM? Chime in ...
