Violinist and vocalist for the band Kansas died of a pancreatic condition. Not sure if it was cancer or not. A heck of a musician and performer.

Lay your weary head to rest.

I'm so sad to hear this... it's already been said, but he was such a great musician, a virtuoso performer and the front of a band that had a monster influence on a much younger me. To this day if the weather is right and the audience a little too quiet, I'll play Cheyenne Anthem... it will never be the same. Carry on!

Robby’s dad was Director of Music History at the University of Kansas and grew up in Lawrence, Kansas. He learned to play violin in Europe all of which explains his classic musical background.

We had Kansas on Kirshner Records, a label we distributed.
Donny Kirshner brought in the band to our label head and he said ok.
We all loved them.
RIP.

The celebrity obits seem to be increasing as they snowball their way down the slope.
