I’m curious if anyone here has tried (or even heard if) Jasper Guitars. The Green Bay, WI luthier who works on my stuff started this guitar company where, I guess, you can “tune” the body of the guitar. Jasper Guitar Company

They need a better web site - they're not explaining what the heck the proprietary carbon fiber plate is or why I should care without watching a Youtube video, if said info is even there.

I watched the video and found it quite interesting. I remember reading about that carbon fiber plate when the guitars were first announced but, because Tony does luthier work for me, I’m probably on their mail list. Give the video a look.

I watched Justin Johnson's 30 minute review video. He obviously liked the guitar but much of what he highlighted can be attributed to the Lollar pickups. I'm not certain if the guitar itself adds enough to the equation to warrant the pricetag.

I had to skip my way through the video. Did he ever show-n-tell the backplate tension and what that sounds like? If he did, I missed it.
It is impressive tech!

That's the thing they don't get - I want to have an idea cleary, if they're selling Sprocket X as the defining point - watching a video where there's NO explanation in text, or a quick "Why should I care?" isn't going to work very well honestly.
I want sound examples of how it works, and why.
I suppose I could look up the patent, but I can't bring myself to care.
In this, web site design is one thing I know VERY well, and they're shooting themselves in the foot for search engine placement and a host of other things.

Geez, I didn’t want to get anyone’s undies in a bundle over this, I just thought it was a very interesting guitar. I’m a bass player so I could give a rat’s ass as to what you guitar players hunger for.

Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s awesome and innovative. I’d just like to know more about tuning that carbon fiber panel. But it’s not like I’m seriously shopping these.
My undies aren’t bunched. Heck, I’m not even wearing any.

Yea, it may be the most interesting thing on earth, but...they're not selling it.
I merely pointed that out, since you're friends with the guy.
Next time I'll keep quiet.
it's not like i know how SEO or internet marketing works.

I thought you might find Tony’s response to my questions about the patent interesting:
”Thank you for reaching out. We have near future plans to create a detailed video for this purpose. In the meantime, on this page of our site you can find some blog entries that give some detail behind the tech.”
What he is referring to are the videos about their patent.
