If it's not against the rules, can someone please post a link to his obituary?

If it's not against the rules, can someone please post a link to his obituary? The rule is, if it’s available online, a link can be posted here. In this case, it was previously posted and I appreciate someone re-posting it since my link was broken.

It’s sad to lose him. He was like a piece of the furniture in the room. Always there, always reliable, a comfortable voice…
RIP

I know this is an old thread and I don’t mean to drum up gloomy thoughts, but I just found this thread after doing a search because I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts from him since I started coming here again. Learning of his passing compels me to post about our friendship.
I met Jim through the FDP way back in the early days (I don’t think the FDP had been around but maybe a year at the most. We learned that we only lived about 30 minutes from each other and I invited him to come out to one of my band’s shows. He did and our friendship began.
Even though Jim wasn’t really a club going kind of guy, he still came to a lot of our shows and was always singing my praises. He also became became my unofficial amp tech, as I called him. I actually think he liked it. He taught me a lot about tubes and speakers and how to maintain an amp. He was far more knowledgeable than I’ll ever be.
One of things I really enjoyed was having him along when I would go to music stores. We would hit EM Shorts, Phil Uhlic’s and Senseney Music around town and, every once in awhile, Mass Street Music in Lawrence.
I moved to Florida in 2004, but we still stayed in touch through the FDP. I lost contact altogether when I left the old site. I was happy to see he was still around when I first registered on this site.
Anyway, I couldn’t read this thread and not post. This is a very sad day for me. It sucks the way life works sometimes. It sucks that life’s compass pointed our sails in different directions as my work moved me around like a gypsy. There were a lot good sides to all of our moves, but losing contact with good friends was not one of them. Jim was the salt of the earth and it was an honor to be his friend. RIP my friend, until we meet again.

I've been away so just seeing this news. I was in a few argumentative threads with Jim on the old site, and he always gave others the courtesy of clearly explaining his position--and often he could be convincing. RIP, friend.

I have decided that threads like this one, paying tribute to members who have passed, shall have their own section. We'll discuss them here in Moe's per usual, and once some time has passed, I will move them to the new "In Memoriam" section I have created.
This will allow for people to look at who has passed and perhaps see these threads where otherwise they may have missed them after they dropped down too far in Moe's.
This one will be moving over there shortly.

I have not checked in for awhile but I am so very sad to see this. I did not know jhawker apart from his posts but I always enjoyed him and his presence in these forums. May his loved ones have comfort and peace. We’ve all been graced by his voice.
