So...I work with about 800 engineers. Since the pandemic, people are really pushing the dress code...shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, you name it. We don't have strict rules, but generally pants, a shirt with a collar and real shoes are a minimum. I usually wear nice (not torn/worn/shredded) jeans and a polo or button down shirt with black sneakers that are in good shape. Shirt tucked in, with a belt.
Today in the lab, I saw this:
Tattered T-shirt, light gray plaid shorts (that were really short and looked kinda like boxers), grey, yellow, blue pastel striped socks and brown leather dress shoes.
It's a young kid (20's). Please tell me that's not in style right now. I'm not sure he could look more dorky.
