Hello
As a project I am thinking of getting a particular style of gutar and removing the humbucker pickups and associated electronics and replacing them with 2 single coil pickups.
This particular guitar has two switch locations, one for the pick up selector and the other is a type of variotone.
I would like to use the second switch location for a switch to put the the pickups into parallel.
Never having done this before can anyone can point me in the direction of a schematic of a circuit that would allow this.
Thanks

G'day, Windmill. Look here; treat this single humbucker in the diagram as two separate single-coil pickups (for your purposes) and you'll achieve what you're looking for.

Thanks Peegoo I have my thinking cap on but I was expecting to see 2 switches, the normal pickup selector, and a seperate switch to go between series and parallel. In the diagram I dont know which wires are which and where the seperate positions are on the switch. As I said, (hanging my head in shame), "Ï'm new at this".

Ohhhh....Okay, you want a pickup selector switch AND a series/parallel switch. Here's a schematic I drew up for ya.

Thank you Peegoo It is very generous of you to go this trouble. It is much appreciated. But, of course and unfortunately, I keep having ideas ! Would I be able to use rotary switches ? Thanks again

Yes, you could, using a DPDT "on-on" switch for the series/parallel control.
